Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for NT7 Digestive Surgical Unit. This 43-bed high-acuity unit specializes in acute and chronic digestive surgical patients and collaborates with surgical residents and OMFS.

Unit offers extensive resources, including educators, nurse supervisors, and a dedicated manager to support patient care. Sign-on bonus of $10,000 with a 3-year commitment and additional relocation incentives for eligible external applicants.

Qualifications

• Licensed RN with BLS certification within 30 days
• HS Diploma or GED
• Bariatric certified unit experience preferred (unit policy)

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Maintains up-to-date and accurate documentation of nursing care.
• Completes initial assessment and develops care plan.
• Implements nursing interventions and plans of care.
• Ensures patient and staff safety by addressing hazards.
• Collaborates with surgical residents and OMFS residency services.
