Job summary
Park Royal Behavioral Health Services is seeking a full time Registered Dietitian to promote health and recovery within a behavioral health setting. The role offers a $5,000 sign-on bonus, day hours and comprehensive benefits.
The Dietitian will assess nutritional needs, counsel patients, approve menus, and collaborate with physicians to tailor dietary plans for adults with mental health or co-occurring conditions. Prior experience with eating disorders and substance use is preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Dietetics, Nutrition or similar field acceptable for licensure.
- Experience with Eating Disorders and Substance use strongly preferred in facilities working with those patient populations.
Responsibilities
- Assess nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans to develop and implement dietary-care plans and provide nutritional counseling.
- Approve patient menus and nutritional supplements.
- Advise patients and their families on nutritional principles, dietary plans, diet modifications and food selection and preparation.
- Provide nutritional assessments per facility policy and regulation.
- Review and approve menus developed by the facility.
- Counsel individuals and groups on basic rules of good nutrition and healthy eating habits.
