Job summary

Union Plaza Care Center in Queens, NY is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our team. Entry-level candidates and new graduates are welcome to apply, with a focus on delivering high-quality nutritional care in a long-term care setting.

You will assess residents, develop care plans, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure regulatory compliance while educating residents and families on nutrition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in dietetics, nutrition or related field is required.
• Entry-level candidates and new grads are welcome to apply.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition principles and diet therapy.
• Interest in long-term care and geriatric nutrition.
• Experience with Sigma Care and Geri Menu is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assess residents’ dietary needs and nutritional risks.
• Develop and implement individualized dietary care plans.
• Coordinate food service with nursing and other departments.
• Ensure menus align with physician orders and regulations.
• Supervise dietary staff and maintain documentation.
• Participate in surveys and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Provide nutritional education to residents and families.
