Union Plaza Care Center in Queens, NY is seeking a Registered Dietitian to join our long-term care team. We welcome entry-level candidates eager to start their careers and make a meaningful impact on resident health and wellness.

You will assess residents' nutritional needs, develop individualized plans, coordinate with nursing and therapy staff, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and regulatory requirements. This is a full-time role, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Dietetics, Nutrition, or related field required or equivalent.
• Entry-level candidates and new graduates are welcome to apply.
• Strong knowledge of nutrition principles and diet therapy.
• Interest in long-term care and geriatric nutrition.

Responsabilités

• Assess residents’ dietary needs and nutritional risks.
• Develop and implement individualized dietary care plans.
• Coordinate food service with nursing and other departments.
• Ensure menus align with physician orders and regulations.
• Supervise dietary staff to maintain quality and safety.
• Maintain accurate dietary documentation and records.
• Assist with state and federal surveys and corrective actions.
• Provide nutritional education to residents and families.
