Job summary

Leisure Chateau seeks an experienced Dietary Supervisor to oversee food service operations, ensuring nutritious meals meet medical needs and personal preferences. You will manage the dietary team, coordinate schedules, and uphold sanitary standards in line with health guidelines.

The ideal candidate has a culinary background with leadership experience in long-term care, plus ServSafe certification. Flu vaccination or exemption per policy is required; a degree in Nutrition or Hospitality is

Qualifications

• Experience in long-term care or medical facility as a food service manager.
• Culinary background with professional cooking experience.
• Active ServSafe Certification required; CDM preferred.
• Flu vaccination or valid medical/religious exemption per facility policy.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Nutrition, Culinary Arts, or Hospitality preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervision & Production: Oversee food preparation, tray assembly, and service line schedules.
• Menu & Diet Planning: Plan therapeutic diets and seasonal menus for diverse needs.
• Resident Relations: Interview residents to determine dietary needs and educate families.
• Inventory Management: Requisition and purchase supplies; supervise receiving and storage.
• Team Leadership: Hire, train, schedule, evaluate, and if needed terminate dietary staff.
• Compliance: Ensure kitchen operations meet state/local health regulations and infection control standards.
