Job summary

Sinai Post Acute Nursing & Rehab is seeking a Dietary Supervisor to oversee the food service department, supervise dietary staff, and ensure meals meet nutritional needs and sanitary standards.

The role involves coordinating preparation and service, maintaining records, and ensuring regulatory compliance while supporting a resident-centered environment. Strong leadership and organizational skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Certification in accordance with regulatory agencies governing the facility.
• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in culinary services, food management, or related field preferred.
• Food Service Certification as required by regulatory agencies.

Responsibilities

• Supervises and directs the activities of dietary staff, including assigning tasks and ensuring procedures are followed.
• Oversees preparation and serving of meals meeting quality standards and dietary requirements.
• Adheres to sanitary regulations and maintains a clean, safe work environment.
• Assists in implementing and monitoring Regular and therapeutic diets per RD guidance.
• Monitors inventory and communicates needs for ordering.
• Trains and orients new dietary staff on procedures and safety protocols.
• Maintains records related to food production, service, and staff schedules.
• Contributes to staff performance evaluations and addresses issues as needed.
• Ensures safety and compliance with MSDS and emergency plans.
