Qualifications

• Excellent leadership, communication, and customer service skills; ability to maintain confidentiality per HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Works under the direction of the Food Service Director to supervise the Dietary Department.
• Trains, evaluates, and supervises dietary staff under guidance of the Food Service Director.
• Oversees meal service, tray line, dining room, and sanitation to ensure high-quality dietary service.
• Ensures policies and procedures are followed by all dietary department employees.
• Maintains daily operations, including meal preparation, food service, and sanitation.
• Performs inspections and participates in quality assurance activities.
• Maintains HIPAA compliance and confidentiality; performs duties as assigned.

Dietary Supervisor (Weekends)

Responsibilities

• Works under the direction of the Food Service Director to ensure appropriate supervision and operation of the Dietary Department
• Assists in the training, evaluating, and supervising of dietary staff under direct guidance and direction of the Food Service Director
• Supervises tray line/server and dining room meal service in a timely and appropriate manner to provide high-quality dietary service to patients, residents, visitors, and employees of the facility
• Ensures that all facility policies and procedures are followed by all employees of the dietary department
• Performs all duties as instructed/delegated by the Food Service Director in a timely and appropriate manner
• Oversees the daily operations of the dietary department, including meal preparation, food service, and sanitation
• Supervises and directs dietary staff to ensure efficient and effective service
• Maintains high standards of quality, safety, and sanitation in food preparation and presentation
• Assures all proper safety and sanitation practices are followed by all personnel under their supervision in the dietary department
• Conducts daily inspections of the dietary department to ensure compliance with policies and procedures
• Participates in quality assurance and quality improvement activities to ensure continuous improvement of services
• Maintains confidentiality and adheres to HIPAA regulations
• Performs other duties as assigned by the Food Service Director or Administrator

Requirements
