Job summary

Hamilton Grove Healthcare & Rehabilitation in New Jersey is seeking a Dietary Supervisor to oversee the dietary department each evening, ensuring timely meal preparation and safe dining. You will supervise cooks, deliver dishes, and maintain sanitary kitchen and dining areas.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of supervisory or kitchen management experience, strong customer service, and knowledge of sanitation guidelines.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of supervisory or managerial experience in a kitchen setting.
• Prior dietary experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety guidelines.
• Skilled in preparing meals according to instructions.
• Aptitude with cookware, bakeware and cooking appliances.
• Strong communication skills and customer-focused attitude.
• Good physical condition and stamina.
• Certification in food services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the dietary department in its entirety

• Take down dining areas and collect plates, glasses etc.
• Discard leftovers and take out garbage
• Clean food stations and wash dishes, cooking vessels and silverware

Job description

Hamilton Grove Healthcare & Rehabilitation is looking for a qualified Dietary Supervisor to oversee the dietary department each evening to prepare and serve food to the residents in our facilities. You will supervise and deliver dishes and ensure good sanitary condition in cooking and dining premises.The ideal candidate will have at a minimum 1-year experience as a supervisor or manager in a kitchen setting. They must be competent and conscientious with a customer-oriented approach. The goal is to provide excellent food services by following instructions and standards.

The hours for the position are 12:30pm-8:00pm with every other weekend commitment.

Compensation

Base Rate: $19.00
