Job summary

SUN MAR HEALTH CARE in Menifee Lakes Post-Acute is seeking a Dietary Supervisor to join our clinical team as a full-time supervisor of Food Services. The role includes administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability for the department to deliver quality care and hospitality to residents.

You will develop training, coordinate with Nursing and other departments, prepare reports for the Dietitian/Administrator, and manage diet changes.

Qualifications

• Must be able to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
• Able to interpret and implement written or oral policies, procedures, and instructions.
• Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.
• Communicate effectively.
• 1-3 months related experience or training.
• Requires knowledge of special diets.

Responsibilities

• Development of and participate in the planning, conducting, and scheduling of timely in-service training classes that provide instructions on how to do the job, and ensure a well-educated Food Services Department.
• Coordinating food services and activities with other related departments (i.e., Nursing, Environmental, Activity and Social Services, etc.).
• Written and oral reports/recommendations to the Dietitian and/or Administrator as necessary/required concerning the operation of the Food Services Department.
• Process diet changes and new diets as received from nursing services.

As Supervisor of Food Services, you are delegated the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for carrying out your assigned duties.

Duties and Responsibilities
