Job summary

SUN MAR HEALTH CARE is seeking a Dietary Aide for both full-time and part-time roles on site at Trabuco Hills Post-Acute. The position offers a flexible schedule with weekend availability and starts at $16+ per hour, DOE.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and some related experience, with knowledge of special diets. Responsibilities include following kitchen procedures, labeling foods, ensuring proper temperatures, assisting with tray assembly, and maintaining clean equipment

Qualifications

• 1-3 months related experience or training.
• Requires knowledge of special diets.

Responsibilities

• Follows department procedures and storage of all dishes, utensils and cooking equipment.
• Ensures all food in refrigerator, freezer, and dry storage are labeled and dated.
• Oversees proper food handling and utilization of all foods to prevent contamination, increase quality and reduce cost.
• Suggests menu or recipe changes to utilize leftovers and other supplies.
• Cleans all food service equipment, kitchen and food storage areas.
• Maintains the proper temperature of food during preparation and service. Records food temperatures according to established policy.
• Assists with the setup of the tray line. Assembles trays according to the planned menu and tray tickets, stated portion, resident food preferences, and diet order and within the established time schedules.
• Assists in checking trays during service for accuracy.
