Job summary

Long Beach Post Acute is seeking a Full‑time Dietary Services Supervisor (DSS) to oversee the dietary department, ensure meals meet facility standards, and maintain safe, quality food service for residents in Long Beach.

The DSS will supervise staff, enforce state and federal guidelines, handle menu planning, diet orders, and QA activities, and coordinate with the Dietary Consultant to achieve high‑quality food service.

Qualifications

• Experience in food service supervision for a healthcare facility.
• Familiarity with state and federal dietary regulations.
• CDM, ServSafe, and DSS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the food service department operations.
• Ensure costs stay within budget and meals meet standards.
• Implement menus, diet orders, and quarterly updates.
• Maintain resident profile cards and assist in care planning.
• Participate in QA and CQI activities.
