Job summary

Qualifications

• Certification required for Dietary Manager and/or Dietary Service Supervisor.
• COVID-19 vaccination including Booster shots.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily operations of dietary department following State & Federal regulations.
• Manage food and labor budgets effectively.
• Attend IDT meetings, patient care conferences; complete MDS.
• Work closely with staff to provide nutritional care to patients.
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the Dietary Department and its programs.
• Maintain written dietary policies, procedures and job descriptions; interpret to employees, residents and agencies.
• Ensure food served is palatable and meets residents' needs; proper temperatures.
• Maintain accurate records and tray tickets for residents.
• Post menus with dates at least one week in advance; adjust as content changes.
• Set the budget for the dietary department; purchase within budget.
• Interview residents or families to obtain diet history and evaluate meal satisfaction.
• Assist in tracking expenses and menu planning.
• Other duties as assigned.
