Job summary

Felician Sisters of North America in Buffalo, NY is seeking a dedicated Dietary Supervisor to lead the daily operations of the Dining Services Department, ensuring high-quality meals, food safety, and resident-centered service.

You will supervise staff, plan menus, coordinate diets with Health Services, and maintain compliance, while fostering a collaborative, compassionate environment aligned with our mission.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience in food service.
• Minimum of three (3) years of cook/food preparation experience.
• Knowledge of traditional Polish cuisine and Roman Catholic dietary customs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily operations of the Dining Department.
• Schedule, coordinate, and monitor department staffing.
• Plan, implement, evaluate, and improve dining services and operations.
• Collaborate with leadership and other departments to provide exceptional resident care.
• Monitor food quality, sanitation, infection control, and kitchen safety standards.
• Develop menus that incorporate resident preferences, variety, and nutritional needs.
• Review prescribed diets and dietary changes with Health Services.
• Train and mentor dining staff on food preparation, sanitation, equipment use, and nutrition standards.
• Conduct resident interviews to assess dining satisfaction and preferences.
• Maintain menus and documentation per policies and regulations.
• Oversee meal planning for holidays and events.
