Job summary

Sapphire Center for Rehabilitation of Central Queens is seeking a full-time Dietary Supervisor to assist the Food Service Director in creating high-quality meals and delivering a meaningful dining experience for residents in our long-term skilled nursing facility.

The role requires knowledge of GeriMenu Diet Management Software to manage meal planning and nutrition needs; a Serve Safe Certification is required. A high school diploma and 1 year of healthcare food service experience are expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 year of food service experience in health care or senior services.
• Knowledge of state and federal food-handling regulations; Serve Safe certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and assist Food Service Staff with meal preparation based on established menus and policies.
• Solicit resident feedback and improve meal quality and satisfaction.
• Assist with menu planning and maintain accurate meal documentation records.
• Support cleaning and maintenance of kitchen, equipment, and dining areas.
• Participate in care conferences as assigned and coordinate meals for special events.
• Assist cooks with meal production as needed and ensure safe storage of food and supplies.
