Job summary

Qualifications

• Two years’ experience in large quantity food preparation.
• One year supervisory experience.
• Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
• One year of experience with therapeutic diet preparation preferred.
• Certifications in food service or nutrition are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead, supervise, and motivate the dietary team to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
• Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge
• Oversee meal planning, preparation, and presentation in accordance with dietary guidelines and client needs
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards
• Monitor inventory levels and manage procurement of dietary supplies and equipment
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals or clients to develop personalized nutrition plans
• Maintain accurate documentation related to dietary services and team performance
• Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment that promotes professional growth
