Centennial Post Acute in Anchorage, AK is seeking a Dietary Manager to oversee daily operations of the dietary department and ensure quality resident nutrition. You will lead menu planning, supervise staff, manage inventory, and monitor compliance with health and safety standards while maintaining cost controls.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• CDM or CFPP credential required.
• ServSafe Certification required.
• One-year experience in a long-term care facility dietary department preferred.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Must maintain all required continuing education/licensing.

Responsibilities

• Plan, supervise, and coordinate daily operations of the dietary department.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including sanitation, safety, and health standards.
• Develop menus that meet nutritional guidelines and dietary restrictions.
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs while minimizing waste.
• Recruit, train, and supervise dietary staff.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to meet special dietary needs of residents/patients.
• Maintain accurate records of menus, production reports, and regulatory documentation.
• Monitor and enforce proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices.
• Foster a positive, safe, and efficient work environment.
