Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required, Registered Dietician preferred.
• Experience overseeing the National School Lunch Program is highly preferred.
• Must complete new hire requirements like State of Alaska Background Check and Drug Testing.

Responsibilities

• Manage operations of the Dietary Department according to policies.
• Oversee daily food preparation and special diets.
• Order food supplies and maintain records.
• Coordinate food preparations for special functions.
• Consult with Dietitians for compliance with licensure.

Skills

Ability to perform assignments with minimal supervision

Strong communication skills

Math skills for recipe and diet calculations

Ability to make sound, independent judgments

Working knowledge of computers

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Nutritional Science/Dietary field
