Job summary

Healthcare Services Group, Inc. is seeking a Food Service Director to lead the dining department at a long-term care facility in Florida.

You will oversee the dining program, ensure safety and quality, and manage staff to deliver excellent resident experiences. The role requires coordination with client managers and facility leadership, strong communication, and the ability to maintain records and comply with health standards.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in quantity food production/service and personnel supervision preferred.
• CDM certification preferred (or as required by state and county law).
• Must obtain Food Protection Manager within the first 14 days of employment.
• Must obtain FSM and LTC-FSM within the first 60 days of employment.
• Residency within the service area required.
• COVID-19 vaccination policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the food service team to meet quality and safety standards.
• Maintain records of income, expenditures, food supplies, personnel, and equipment in HCSG software.
• Conduct staff training, quality control, and in-service sessions; perform dietary aide, cook, and dishwasher duties as needed.
• Communicate directives from client managers, building occupants, and administrators to HCSG staff.
• Ensure safe handling of cleaning solutions, report equipment needs or malfunctions promptly.
• Follow infection control and handwashing procedures to maintain sanitary environment.
• Maintain attendance, punctuality and timely task completion.
• Represent HCSG positively through interactions with staff and residents.
