Job description

Dietary Manager

At Vancrest we live out our mission every day by delivering personalized care in our facility where residents’ comfort and quality of life always come first.

Position Responsibilities:
  1. Understands importance of dietary impact on CARE and patient outcomes; specifically in collaboration with Dietician Services.
  2. Orients patients to dining operations and obtains patient preferences for a positive dining experience.
  3. Plans and coordinates day-to-day operations of the kitchen, including cooking, staffing & food/supply ordering.
  4. Self-directed in organization and prioritization of tasks.
  5. Maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  6. Meal planning, cooking, and ordering.
  7. Staffing of the Dietary Department.
  8. Manage dietary budget.
Preferred Areas of Experience:
  1. Certified Dietary Manager (CDM) or a willingness to obtain certification in a timely manner.
  2. ServSafe certification or a willingness to obtain certification in a timely manner.
  3. Long-term care or healthcare dietary experience.
  4. Prior experience in food service.
