Job summary

Regency Redmond is seeking a Dietary Manager to oversee meal preparation, service to residents, and daily foodservice operations in a supportive senior care setting.

You will train, supervise and motivate foodservice staff, establish safe handling practices, manage inventory and orders, and ensure compliance with state sanitation codes while honoring resident preferences.

Qualifications

• Have the ability to obtain Food Handler's card. Meet all mandatory health requirements by State regulations.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food to residents within the scheduled timeframe.
• Establish and maintain policies and procedures to address safe practices for food handling, inventory and storage of food and supplies to ensure regulatory compliance and accreditation standards are met.
• The Dietary Manager will train, manage and supervise food service staff, practice time management techniques, and ensure the highest possible customer satisfaction.
• Follow menu cycle, noting changes or substitutions made on proper form
• Clean and maintains a neat, safe working environment, including the kitchen and food service areas
• Comply with state sanitation codes
• Maintain inventory control, places food orders, verifies that items are received appropriately, and restock appropriately
• Ensure that resident food preferences are known and followed
