Job summary

The Skilled Nursing Facility is seeking a Dietary Manager to partner with the Dietitian to plan, organize, develop and direct the overall operation of the Dietary Department in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, ensuring quality nutritional services are provided daily.

You will supervise the dietary staff, review menus and diet plans, maintain records, participate in facility surveys, assist with discharge planning and budgetary control, and

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma.
• Must have Food Service Sanitation Manager Certification.
• Minimum 3 years supervisory experience in a hospital, nursing facility, or related medical facility.
• Knowledge of dietary practices and applicable laws and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing the Dietary Department.
• Assist in developing and maintaining written job descriptions and performance evaluations.
• Review policies and procedures annually and propose revisions.
• Inspect storage, supply rooms, and ensure adequate stock levels.
• Review diet changes and nutrition plans per physician orders.
• Ensure menus and dietary progress notes are accurate and compliant.
