Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions is seeking a skilled Dietary Cook for a skilled nursing facility. The role focuses on high-volume meal preparation, accurate recipe following, and attractive plating.

You will support the Dietary Manager in their absence and uphold stringent kitchen sanitation standards. Responsibilities include inventory management, recipe development support, and ensuring meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner meet nutritional guidelines.

Qualifications

• Classically trained cook with experience in high-volume culinary operations.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes accurately.
• Capable of plating and presenting dishes attractively.
• Maintain high sanitation standards in the kitchen and on equipment.
• Assist with inventory, purchasing support, and recipe management.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation and culinary excellence for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following recipes.
• Plate and garnish cooked items for attractive menu presentation.
• Serve as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep.
• Maintain sanitation of kitchen and equipment before and after service.
• Manage inventory, rotation, and assist with purchasing; support recipe development.

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented, classically trained Cook experienced in high-volume culinary operations to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items expertly to ensure an attractive menu presentation.
• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.
• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.
