Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions, Yardley Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, is seeking a talented Cook to join our dietary team in a skilled nursing facility. The role focuses on high-volume meal preparation and accurate portioning according to standardized recipes.

You will plate dishes, support the Dietary Manager, maintain sanitation, manage inventory, and assist with recipe development. Availability to work every other weekend is required, with full-time benefits included.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, and cook meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner per recipes.
• Plate and garnish cooked items for attractive presentation.
• Support Dietary Manager in their absence to ensure meal prep and delivery.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation standards and clean equipment.
• Manage inventory, rotate stock, assist with purchasing and recipe development.
• Handle last-minute requests for special events and facility functions.

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented, classically trained Cook experienced in high-volume culinary operations to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items expertly to ensure an attractive menu presentation.
• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.
• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.
• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
