Qualifications

• Experience as a cook in a nursing facility or healthcare setting preferred.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and high sanitation standards.
• Strong time-management and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation and culinary excellence for breakfast, lunch, and dinner using standardized recipes.
• Plate and present dishes attractively.
• Support Dietary Manager during absences to ensure continuous meal service.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation and equipment cleanliness.
• Manage inventory, stock rotation, purchasing, and recipe compliance.

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented, classically trained Cook experienced in high-volume culinary operations to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.

• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items expertly to ensure an attractive menu presentation.

• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.

• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.

• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.

• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
