Job summary

Vancrest Health Care Centers is seeking a Dietary Cook to support our resident-focused dining program. You will review menus, prepare meals according to diet orders, and coordinate with the Dietician and Supervisors to ensure nutrition and quality standards are met.

This role works within our dietary team in a care facility setting; you will assist with food service production, manage tray accuracy, and help maintain inventory and sanitation procedures to ensure meals are served on time.

Qualifications

• Review menus prior to food preparation.
• Inspect special diet trays for accuracy.
• Complete administrative forms and reports.
• Coordinate dietary service with other departments as needed.

Responsibilities

• Review menus prior to preparation of food.
• Inspect special diet trays to assure correct.
• Submit necessary forms/reports to the Director of Food Services.
• Coordinate dietary service with other departments as necessary.
• Work with the facility's Dietician, Dietetic Technician and Supervisors and implement changes.
• Ensure dietary procedures follow established policies.
• Assist in establishing food service production line to ensure meals are on time.
• Process diet changes and new diets as received from Nursing Services and approved by the Director of Food Service.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures and ensure utensils are ready for next meal.
• Inventory incoming food and supplies and perform other duties as requested.
