Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Nursing home experience preferred.
• Culinary/food service experience in healthcare is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Use a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple nutrition plans and modified diets for residents.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required servings.
• Test recipes and recommend improvements.
• Prepare and cook food in batches with high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers assisting in meals.
