Qualifications

• Menu planning and menu reviews to ensure accuracy and nutrition.
• Dietary compliance with special diets and patient needs.
• Accurate documentation and reporting to supervisory staff.
• Coordination with Dietician, Dietetic Technician and other Supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Review menus prior to preparation of food.
• Inspect special diet trays to assure they are correct.
• Submit necessary forms and reports to the Director of Food Services.
• Coordinate dietary service with other departments as necessary.
• Collaborate with Dietician and Dietetic Technician on diet changes.
• Ensure dietary procedures follow established policies.
• Assist in establishing production line to ensure meals are timely.
• Process diet changes and new diets as requested by Nursing Services.
• Perform dishwashing/cleaning procedures and maintain utensils readiness.
• Assist in inventorying and storing incoming food and supplies.
• Cooks are supervised by the Dietary Manager.
