Fairmont Crossing Health and Rehab Center in Amherst, Virginia, is seeking a Dietary Cook to craft flavorful, nutritious meals for residents. You will supervise dietary functions, supervise kitchen staff in the absence of management, plan meals, and ensure timely tray service with attention to appearance and safety.

Education: high school diploma preferred; or ability to read and write English. Previous culinary experience is a plus.

Formación

• High School diploma preferred or ability to read and write English effectively.
• Previous culinary experience is a plus.
• Proficient in preparing and cooking a variety of foods in larger quantities; knowledge of diets, seasoning, cooking times and temps.

Responsabilidades

• Supervise kitchen operations in the absence of the manager.
• Receive reports on meals for normal and special diets, coordinate food and supply requirements.
• Adhere to special diet orders and use approved substitutions.
• Follow food production plans to ensure quality and presentation.
• Plan, prepare, and serve meals in coordination with meal times.
