Winchesterhc is seeking a dedicated Dietary Cook to craft nourishing meals for residents. You will supervise dietary functions, prepare and present appetizing dishes, and support tray service while maintaining a clean, organized kitchen.

In this role you’ll follow dietary orders, estimate quantities, minimize waste, and keep accurate records. Join a diverse team focused on nutritional wellbeing and safe, high-quality meal service.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma preferred, or ability to read and write English effectively.
• Experience: Previous culinary experience is a plus.
• Job knowledge: Knowledge of diets, seasoning, cooking times and temperature controls.

Responsibilities

• Supervise dietary functions and personnel; foster collaboration in the kitchen.
• Prepare and oversee meals; ensure appealing presentation and flavor.
• Contribute to tray service and cleanliness; maintain an organized kitchen.
• Keep accurate records as directed for seamless operations.
• Supervise kitchen operations in the absence of the manager.
• Receive reports on meals for normal and special diets; coordinate needs.
• Follow diet orders and approved substitutions; adhere to production plans.

Pay: $17.00–$18.00 per hour based on experience

Winchester Health and Rehab. is looking for a dependable and caring Dietary Cook to join our team! If you enjoy preparing meals and take pride in providing delicious, nutritious food, we would love to have you on our team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to planned menus and dietary requirements

• Follow recipes, portion sizes, and food preparation guidelines

• Prepare meals that meet the nutritional and special dietary needs of our residents

• Ensure food is prepared, stored, and served safely and at the proper temperature

• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen

• Follow all food safety and sanitation regulations

• Assist with meal service and ensure meals are served on schedule

• Monitor food supplies and communicate when items need to be reordered

• Work closely with the Dietary Manager and dietary team

• Help create a positive dining experience for our residents

• Treat residents with kindness, respect, and compassion

Qualifications

• Previous cooking or food service experience preferred

• Healthcare, long-term care, or institutional food service experience is a plus

• Ability to follow recipes, menus, and special dietary instructions

• Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation practices

• Reliable and dependable

• Ability to work as part of a team

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
