Wyndhurst Health and Rehabilitation is seeking a Dietary Cook to join our dietary team. You will prepare and supervise meals for residents, ensuring quality, taste, and presentation while supporting tray service and kitchen cleanliness.

In addition to supervising in the absence of the manager, you will assist with diet orders, record-keeping, and coordination with dietary staff to meet nutritional goals for residents.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred.
• Culinary experience preferred.
• Knowledge of special diets, portions, cooking times and temps.

Responsabilités

• Supervise dietary functions and staff in the kitchen.
• Prepare and oversee meals; ensure visual appeal and flavor.
• Support tray service and maintain kitchen cleanliness.
• Keep accurate records as directed for smooth operations.
• In manager's absence, supervise kitchen operations.
• Coordinate meal reports for normal and special diets; plan supplies.
• Adhere to diet orders and use approved substitutions.
• Follow production plans to maintain quality and timing.
