Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions is seeking a skilled Dietary Cook for a Nursing Facility on the Hampden Post Acute site. This full-time swing shift role requires dedication to high-volume meal production and adherence to recipes.

You will prepare, plate, and present nutritious meals, support the Dietary Manager in their absence, maintain kitchen sanitation, manage inventory, and assist with special events. Candidates must be classically trained and comfortable working every other weekend;

Qualifications

• Classically trained cook with experience in high-volume culinary operations.
• Experience in healthcare facility or tightly regulated kitchen is a plus.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and menus.

Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items expertly to ensure an attractive menu presentation.
• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.
• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.
• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
