Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions is seeking a skilled Dietary Cook for a Nursing Facility to prepare nutritious meals in a high-volume setting within a nursing facility. You will follow standardized recipes, plate meals attractively, and support the Dietary Manager when needed.

The role emphasizes kitchen sanitation, inventory management, and the ability to handle special event requests while ensuring consistent meal quality for residents.

Qualifications

• Classically trained cook with experience in high-volume culinary operations.
• Experience in a skilled nursing facility or healthcare food service is preferred.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and maintain plating quality.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plate and garnish cooked items to ensure an attractive presentation.
• Assist Dietary Manager in their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Maintain high sanitation standards in the kitchen and on all culinary equipment.
• Manage inventory, rotate stock, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe compliance.
• Handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
