Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions in Hudson, OH is seeking a skilled Dietary Cook to join a busy Skilled Nursing Facility. You will prepare, portion, and cook nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes, and ensure attractive plating.

You'll support the Dietary Manager in their absence, maintain kitchen sanitation, manage inventory, and assist with special events. Full-time benefits include PTO and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation, portioning and cooking a variety of nutritious meals following standardized recipes.
• Plate and garnish cooked items for attractive presentation.
• Act as liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Maintain high kitchen sanitation standards and clean equipment before/after service.
• Manage inventory, rotate stock, assist with purchasing, and support recipe development.
• Handle last-minute culinary requests for events and facility functions.

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented, classically trained Cook experienced in high-volume culinary operations to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items expertly to ensure an attractive menu presentation.
• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.
• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.
• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
