North Shore Healthcare is seeking a Part Time Dietary Cook to join our team in Wisconsin. The role includes preparing and serving meals in compliance with federal, state, and local standards, under the Dietary Services Manager guidance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma (or equivalent) is required or by state/local health dept.
• Food Handler’s Card / Serve Safe Training required by health dept.
• Previous cooking/culinary experience in healthcare or fast-paced settings preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food per current standards and regulations.
• Follow Dietary Services Manager instructions to ensure quality dining service.
• Maintain clean, safe kitchen areas and assist with dietary duties as needed.

Summary of position

Prepares and serves food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, center standards and procedures and as directed by the Dietary Services Manager to ensure that quality food and dining service is always provided.

Requirements of the position

Required Education and Experience

• High School diploma (or equivalent)
• Food Handler’s Card, Serve Safe Training or other as required by state or local health departments

Preferred Education and Experience

• Previous cooking and/or culinary experience preferred
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Post-acute care or health care experience preferred
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft products
