Job summary

North Shore Healthcare is seeking a Dietary Cook for full and part-time roles in Wisconsin. You will prepare and serve meals according to applicable standards and ensure quality dining service for residents and families under the guidance of the Dietary Services Manager.

Required education includes a High School diploma or equivalent, plus a Food Handler’s Card or Serve Safe Training. Prior cooking experience and familiarity with Microsoft products are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Food Handler’s Card or Serve Safe Training required by state/local health departments.
• Previous cooking/culinary experience preferred.
• Experience in a fast-paced environment preferred.
• Post-acute care or health care experience preferred.
• Computer proficiency with Microsoft products.

• Delivers quality dining service to residents and families under the Dietary Services Manager guidance.

Summary of position

Prepares and serves food in accordance with current applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations, center standards and procedures and as directed by the Dietary Services Manager to ensure that quality food and dining service is always provided.

Requirements of the position

Required Education and Experience

• High School diploma (or equivalent)
• Food Handler’s Card, Serve Safe Training or other as required by state or local health departments

Preferred Education and Experience

• Previous cooking and/or culinary experience preferred
• Experience in a fast-paced environment
• Post-acute care or health care experience preferred
