Willow Springs Healthcare Center seeks a dedicated Cook to join our dietary team, crafting nutritious, comforting meals for residents. You’ll follow menus, portion guidelines, and physician orders while maintaining a clean, safe kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary kitchen environment at all times.
• Prepare large-batch meals according to established menus, recipes, and portion guidelines.
• Prepare and plate meals that are both nutritious and visually appealing.
• Accurately follow special diet requirements and physician orders.
• Record food temperatures and comply with all food safety standards.
• Prepare pureed foods that are smooth, flavorful, and nutritious.
• Collaborate with dietary and interdisciplinary team members.
• Maintain and monitor sanitizer buckets and cleaning supplies.
• Assist with meal service as needed.
• Clean and organize cooking areas, carts, and equipment.
• Report any resident concerns to leadership promptly.
• Assist with onboarding and training new dietary team members.
• Follow daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules.
• Step into leadership or support roles as needed to keep operations running smoothly.
