Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions is hiring a Dietary Cook for a Skilled Nursing Facility in Allendale, NJ. The role requires a classically trained cook with experience in high-volume culinary operations to prepare meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner according to standardized recipes.

You will plate and garnish dishes, support the Dietary Manager in their absence, maintain sanitation, and manage inventory while aiding with recipe development.

Qualifications

• Classically trained cook with high-volume experience.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility kitchen preferred.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes and maintain sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Meal preparation and cooking following standardized recipes.
• Plating and presentation of prepared dishes.
• Serve as liaison for Dietary Manager during their absence.
• Maintain kitchen sanitation and cleanliness.
• Manage inventory, rotation of stock, and assist with recipe development.
• Flexibly handle special events and last-minute requests.

Position Overview & Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a talented, classically trained Cook experienced in high-volume culinary operations to join our team at a Skilled Nursing Facility.

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items expertly to ensure an attractive menu presentation.
• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.
• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.
• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
