Job summary

PruittHealth in Georgia-Augusta is seeking a Dietary Aide to assist with food preparation under the guidance of the Food Service/Dietary Manager. The role emphasizes preparing meals that meet daily nutritional needs and diet orders, serving nourishments, and maintaining proper temperatures and sanitation in line with state and federal regulations.

You will support kitchen staff on the tray line, help with inventory and cleanup, and contribute to a safe, sanitary dining environment for residents.

Qualifications

• Sufficient education to demonstrate functional literacy.
• A minimum of one year institutional food service experience as a cook.
• Experience in long term care food production is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists cook in the preparation of meals, salads, desserts, snacks or other dishes for patients/residents, also prepares between-meal nourishments (make sandwiches, etc.).
• Follows diet orders and NPO diet orders.
• Serves nourishments in accordance with procedural guidelines.
• Properly stores leftovers/ opened food.
• Follows procedures for serving partner meals.
• Offers menu substitutions and records them in accordance with procedural guidelines.
