Qualifications

• Sufficient education to demonstrate functional literacy.
• Minimum 1 year institutional food service experience as a cook.
• Experience in long term care food production preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist cook in meal preparation, salads, desserts, and snacks for residents.
• Prepare between-meal nourishments and office meals as needed.
• Serve nourishments following procedures and record substitutions.
• Store leftovers properly and maintain temperatures per guidelines.
• Ensure food is served at correct temperatures and times; monitor trays and dining areas.
