Job summary

White Oak Manor York is seeking a full-time Dietary Cook for the 2nd shift (11am–7pm) to prepare meals for senior residents in York, SC. You will follow recipes, ensure meals meet dietary guidelines, and maintain a clean, safe kitchen.

Ideal candidates have healthcare or senior living cooking experience, knowledge of safe food handling, and reliable attendance. This role offers competitive benefits and a supportive team environment.

• Previous cooking experience (healthcare or senior living preferred).
• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions accurately.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift as needed.
• A caring attitude and passion for serving seniors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure meals are served fresh, hot, and on time.
• Maintain proper food storage and a clean, organized kitchen.
• Follow all safety and sanitation standards.
• Support menu planning and portion control.
• Prepare meals to meet special dietary needs (low-sodium, diabetic, pureed, etc.).
• Deliver friendly, respectful service to residents and team members.
