Job summary

NATIONAL HEALTH - WHITE OAK LLC in York, SC is seeking a full-time Dietary Cook for 1st shift (5:30am–1:30pm) to prepare meals for our senior residents. You will follow recipes, maintain safety standards, and ensure meals are served hot and on time.

Experience in healthcare or senior living is preferred, with a focus on high-quality nutrition and proper food handling. This role offers a meaningful opportunity to support residents daily and a supportive team environment.

• Previous cooking experience (healthcare or senior living preferred)
• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and dietary guidelines
• Ensure meals are served fresh, hot, and on time
• Maintain proper food storage and a clean, organized kitchen
• Follow all safety and sanitation standards
• Support menu planning and portion control
• Prepare meals to meet special dietary needs (low-sodium, diabetic, pureed, etc.)
• Deliver friendly, respectful service to residents and team members
