Job summary

White Oak Manor York is seeking a full-time Dietary Cook for the 2nd shift (11am-7pm) in York, SC. You will prepare meals for senior residents, following dietary guidelines and recipes to ensure nutritious options and timely service.

We value experience in healthcare or senior living, knowledge of safe food handling, and a caring attitude toward residents. Benefits include PTO after 90 days and a supportive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience (healthcare or senior living preferred).
• Knowledge of safe food handling and sanitation practices.
• Ability to follow recipes and dietary restrictions accurately.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Dependability and consistent attendance.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift as needed.
• A caring attitude and passion for serving seniors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to recipes and dietary guidelines.
• Ensure meals are served fresh, hot, and on time.
• Maintain proper food storage and a clean, organized kitchen.
• Follow all safety and sanitation standards.
• Support menu planning and portion control.
• Prepare meals to meet special dietary needs (low-sodium, diabetic, puree, etc.).
• Deliver friendly, respectful service to residents and team members.
