Job summary

Avir Health Group in Stephenville, TX is seeking a qualified Dietary Cook to join our family-oriented team. The role focuses on preparing meals that meet residents' nutritional needs in a caring, team-driven environment. You will utilize a range of cooking techniques, adjust recipes for portion sizes, and supervise staff in meal preparation.

A high school diploma or GED is required, with prior healthcare food service experience preferred. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Previous Nursing Home experience preferred.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
