AVIR Health Group is seeking a qualified Dietary Cook to join our health-focused team in Texas. The role involves preparing and cooking high-quality meals for residents, guests, and staff while adhering to state health regulations and facility standards.

You will assist in creating appropriate menu options and dietary modifications. Walk-ins are welcome daily, and the position offers competitive pay, daily pay options, a 401k match, and health insurance for the family.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Nursing home or healthcare food service experience preferred.
• Culinary/food service experience in a healthcare facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize cooking equipment and techniques to prepare meals.
• Prepare simple diets and modified diets for residents’ nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield required servings.
• Test recipes and suggest improvements.
• Cook in batches while maintaining quality and appeal.
• Direct activities of one or more workers assisting in meal preparation and service.

We are searching for aDietary Cook that is resident, and family-focused, a team builder, and excited about the opportunity to assist in building a facility culture. The purpose of this role is to prepare and cook high-quality foods for all regular and modified diets, serving residents, guests, and employees. Ensure all preparation and cooking strictly adheres to State Department of Health Rules and Regulations and established facility standards. Responsibilities for Dietary Cook:

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.

Qualifications for Dietary Cook:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Previous Nursing Home experience preferred.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.
