Job summary

North Port Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a skilled Cook to prepare meals for residents, following menus, dietary guidelines, and high quality standards.

This full-time 5a-1:30p position offers opportunities to contribute to menu items, maintain sanitation, manage inventory, and work with a caring team to deliver nourishing meals daily.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Cook or Chef with strong culinary skills.
• Solid knowledge of cooking methods, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced, energetic environment.
• Attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines accurately.
• High school diploma or equivalent experience.

• Prepare and cook a variety of dishes using expert techniques, following menus and recipes.
• Deliver meals that look great, taste amazing, and meet residents’ dietary needs and preferences.
• Innovate by helping develop new recipes, seasonal specials, and menu items.

• Manage inventory, monitor food stock, and assist with ordering ingredients as needed.
• Ensure every meal complies with dietary restrictions and health regulations.
