Cura Health is seeking a passionate and dependable Dietary Cook to join our team. You will prepare nutritious meals that meet dietary needs of residents and work with dietary and nursing teams to support health and well-being.

You will follow menus, recipes, and therapeutic diets, maintain a clean kitchen, and ensure safe food handling. The role emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and adherence to facility policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous cooking or food service experience preferred.
• Healthcare, long-term care, or senior living experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food-handling practices.
• Ability to follow menus, recipes, portion sizes, and therapeutic diet requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook meals according to menus, recipes, and resident dietary needs.
• Follow therapeutic diets, food allergies, and special dietary requirements.
• Ensure meals are prepared and served at the appropriate temperature and on time.
• Follow proper food safety, sanitation, and infection-control procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen and food preparation area.
• Properly store, label, and rotate food and supplies.
• Assist with meal service, food preparation, and kitchen cleanup as needed.
• Communicate dietary concerns or resident meal preferences to appropriate staff.
• Follow facility policies and state and federal food-service regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
