Serenity Spring Senior Living at Jasper Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Cook for a fast-paced environment. The role includes supervising support staff and ensuring compliance with sanitary regulations and established policies.

The candidate should have ServSafe certification, a cooking background in long-term care, and knowledge of food sanitation and batch cooking. 1 year LTC cooking experience is required.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/ High school or equivalent
• SERVESAFE Certified
• Cooking background in long-term care facility and /or Culinary Education
• Knowledge of food sanitation and batch cooking
• Long-Term Care Cooking Required: 1 year

• Prepare food in accordance with sanitary regulations as well as our established policies and procedures
• Ensure that safety regulations and precautions are followed at all times by all personnel
• Follow established Infection Control Precautions policies and procedures when performing daily tasks
• Assist and direct daily or scheduled cleaning duties in accordance with established policies and procedures
• Ensure that the department is maintained in a clean and safe manner by assuring that necessary equipment and supplies are maintained
• Report all hazardous conditions or equipment to the Food Service Director immediately
• Assist in maintaining food storage areas in a clean and properly arranged manner at all times

The Serenity Spring Senior Living at Jasper Rehabilitation and Nursing Center is seeking a Cook Candidate must be able to work in fast paced environment and supervise support staff.
