Job summary

Avir Health Group is seeking a qualified Dietary Cook to join our family and support resident nutrition. The role focuses on preparing meals and dietary modifications that meet individual needs, while fostering a caring, team-oriented kitchen culture.

Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma or GED and experience in culinary/food service, preferably in a health care setting. We offer comprehensive benefits and strong corporate support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Previous Nursing Home experience preferred.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
