Job summary

Avir Health Group in Texas is seeking a qualified Dietary Cook to join our family and support our residents' nutritional needs. The role emphasizes a resident-focused, team-oriented approach and building a positive facility culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in health care food service preferred.
• Nursing home experience preferred.
• Culinary/food service experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
