Job summary

Avir Health Group in Eastland, TX is seeking a Dietary Cook to support resident nutrition and meal service. You will prepare meals, adjust recipes for dietary needs, and ensure safety and quality in a healthcare kitchen.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and experience in food service, ideally in a nursing home or healthcare setting. Teamwork, reliability, and attention to residents' preferences are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Previous office experience preferred.
• Previous Nursing Home experience preferred.
• Culinary and/or food service experience in a health care facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a variety of cooking and food preparation equipment and techniques.
• Prepare simple food regimes and basic modified diets regarding individual resident nutritional needs.
• Adjust recipes to yield the required number of servings if necessary.
• Test recipes and recommend changes in recipes.
• Prepare and cook food in batches, maintaining high quality and appeal.
• Directs activities of one or more workers who assist in preparing and serving meals.
